To support teaching and research activities of the chair, Cisco kindly donated a rack full of hardware  equipment, that is colloquially referred to as Pool of Devices (POD), briefly described in what follow (expect more details).

The POD supports our research (on high speed software routers, on ICN, etc.), as well as our advanced teaching activities (with practical activities that run over the POD) that are described in this website.

The POD comprises networking gears (C2900 an ASR1001) a Fabric Interconnect  and several UCS compute/storage nodes (a C240 M4, two C220 M4 series and three B220 series), each of which is equipped with 2 NUMA nodes equipped with Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3  and 178GB of RAM.
